Alyssa Thomsen-Freitas, PT, DPT
Positive, determined, and grounded; Alyssa has a passion for analyzing and restoring movement and building partnerships with her patients. Alyssa is a lifelong learner, providing clients with the best and most up to date treatment options which ensures that they return to the activities they love.
Alyssa is drawn to orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation as she was a soccer player and collegiate rower. She also enjoys working with older clients who are challenged but determined to maintain their independence in life. Patients with cardiopulmonary and neurologic issues are also a good fit.
Alyssa was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, then went on to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
In her spare time Alyssa enjoys being outdoors, hiking, weightlifting, baking, cooking, and spending time with her dog Daisy.
